Detail

Chapter title: At Cana, in the house of Suzanne who will become a disciple. The royal officer.

Date of vision: Tuesday, May 1, 1945

Calendar: Wednesday, January 12, 28

Location (map):Cana

Cycle: The female apostolate

Summary: Jesus is at Cana, simply teaching his friends. Along comes a royal official from Herod's court, pleading for healing for his son who is in Tiberias. He acknowledges that they are behaving badly towards the Forerunner, but affirms that he has faith. Jesus grants his request. Susanna's husband then comes to him to ask for his wife's healing. At first, he wants to offer her money, but Jesus asks what her soul would be willing to offer in exchange for the miracle. So the Savior asks his wife to become his disciple. The husband is kind, and confesses that he used to love his wife more as flesh than as spirit. However, the Messiah's teaching has already changed his mentality. He now begins to see her as a soul and agrees to let her come to Him, if Susanna agrees. Jesus then tells her not to say anything to her soul mate and that she will come spontaneously to Christ.

The Gospel as revealed to me

Detail

Only Jude and James of Alphaeus accompany Jesus in this chapter. It seems that Jesus returned with his cousins to Nazareth, while the other apostles went straight back to Capernaum. Only John, in his Gospel, mentions this miracle, in which he is said to have played a part.
