The Gospel as revealed to me

Detail

Only Jude and James of Alphaeus accompany Jesus in this chapter. It seems that Jesus returned with his cousins to Nazareth, while the other apostles went straight back to Capernaum. Only John, in his Gospel, mentions this miracle, in which he is said to have played a part.

Summary: Jesus is in Capernaum, at the home of John and James of Zebedee. Their parents, Mary Salome and Zebedee, naturally welcome the Master. The mother of the sons of thunder has heard that the Virgin Mary, Mary of Alphaeus, Susanna and certainly Joanna of Kouza are going to follow Christ. So she asks for the grace to follow in his footsteps. Jesus makes her consider the love of her husband, the love of her home, the love of her grandchildren, but nothing holds back this beautiful soul, who prefers Jesus to everything she possesses.
