Chapter title: Healing of a Sychar woman and conversion of Photinai.

Date of vision: Thursday, April 26, 1945

Calendar: Thursday, January 6, 28

Locations (map):Sychar

Cycle: The Samaritan woman

Summary: The apostolic group leaves Sychar. The apostles recriminate against the Lord for coming to Samaria. Jesus points out that he was able to sow and reap, but Thomas remarks that the Samaritans didn't have much faith, since they didn't ask for miracles. The Master replies that asking for a miracle is not synonymous with true and lasting faith. When he is finally told that the Sanhedrin might take him to task for having made this visit to idolatrous lands, Christ replies that they would find grounds for accusing him anyway, and he adds that a day spent saving lost sheep is never wasted in vain. Finally comes the healing of a possessed Samaritan woman. Peter is embarrassed, for he was certain that someone wanted to harm Christ. Finally comes Photinai, who has spoken to the man she was living with. She wanted to grow in holiness. Jesus tells her to wait at home and that a redeemed woman will come to her and help her to be close to the Redeemer.

Chapter contents: 147.1: The apostles criticize the Master. 147.2: A man suspicious of the apostles brings his ragged wife. 147.3: Jesus heals her. How many things you miss! 147.4: Arrival of Photinai and his desire for conversion.

Christ nods in agreement, and John asks if he has been prayed for and will teach him his Prayer this year. Jesus answers in the affirmative. They are amazed that he had to be strengthened, and Jesus says that the saints will only know how to go to martyrdom thanks to Him. Chapter title: The disciples' wives in the service of Jesus.

Date of vision: Thursday, May 3, 1945

Calendar: Saturday, January 15, 28 (1 Scébat 3788).

Location (map): From Capernaum to Caesarea Maritime

Cycle: The female apostolate

Summary: Peter broods in his corner. With the arrival of women disciples in the apostolic company, he has the impression that Porphyria, his wife, is useless. But Jesus says he needs some of the wives to stay at home, to provide shelter for their sisters who are following them into Palestine. This is a necessity: if they had all wanted to follow the Lord, he would have had to tell some of them to stay. Peter therefore reasserts himself, and we learn that the apostolic troop will be advancing towards Caesarea Maritime.
