Matthew 20:25-28: Jesus called them together and said, "As you know, the rulers of the nations rule over them, and the great ones make their power felt. But among you it shall not be so: whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your servant; and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your slave. So the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
Mark 10:41-45: Jesus called them to him and said to them, "You know that those who are regarded as rulers of the nations command them as masters; the great make their power felt to them. But it must not be so among you. Whoever wishes to become great among you will be your servant. Whoever wishes to be first among you will be slave of all: for the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
Luke 22:25-27: But Jesus said to them, "The kings of the nations rule over them, and those who exercise authority over them call themselves benefactors. But not so with you! On the contrary, let the greatest among you become like the youngest, and he who commands like he who serves. For who is greater, he who sits at table or he who serves? Is it not the one at the table? But I am among you as the one who serves.
