Chapter title: Healing of a Sychar woman and conversion of Photinai.

Locations (map):Sychar
Cycle: The Samaritan woman
Summary: The apostolic group leaves Sychar. The apostles recriminate against the Lord for coming to Samaria. Jesus points out that he was able to sow and reap, but Thomas remarks that the Samaritans didn't have much faith, since they didn't ask for miracles. The Master replies that asking for a miracle is not synonymous with true and lasting faith. When he is finally told that the Sanhedrin might take him to task for having made this visit to idolatrous lands, Christ replies that they would find grounds for accusing him anyway, and he adds that a day spent saving lost sheep is never wasted in vain. Finally comes the healing of a possessed Samaritan woman. Peter is embarrassed, for he was certain that someone wanted to harm Christ. Finally comes Photinai, who has spoken to the man she was living with. She wanted to grow in holiness. Jesus tells her to wait at home and that a redeemed woman will come to her and help her to be close to the Redeemer.
