Detail

Title: On the road with the Twelve to Samaria

Date of vision: April 21, 1945

Calendar: Monday, January 3, 28

Location (map): Towards Samaria.

Cycle: End-of-year celebrations

Summary: The apostles discuss the fact that there are two groups: one belonging to Christ, the other to John the Baptist. They would like Jesus to be scandalized that he is cast out because of a false zeal for John. But Jesus says that the saints don't care if their disciples go from one to the other, from John to Jesus and vice versa. He also enjoins them not to ask God "why". Finally, Jesus speaks of baptism, and declares that soon Grace will be restored to mankind. They are now on the edge of Samaria. The Master asks his disciples if he would speak to the Samaritans, and of course they are indignant. But the Lord affirms that he will speak if asked.
